Accurate to its promise, it is indeed an excellent option for beginners. The thickness is quite comfortable, the grip is effective, and the center line acts as a useful guide/reference.

I found this mat to be too slippery when slightly sweaty. It’s lightweight and does not slip on my hardwood floors, but I think it’s overpriced. It may be worth it for its durability, but I’m unsure if I’ll keep it long enough to find out.

This is the first high-quality mat I’ve purchased in 10 years of practicing yoga. I usually use cheap mats from TJMaxx or Ross, but since COVID-19, I’ve been practicing at home on carpet. This mat is thick enough to prevent sliding on the carpet and has good stickiness to keep my feet in place. It provides the grip needed for stretching and balance in yoga. It seems sturdy and durable, and Amazon offers the best price compared to other websites.

I bought this mat for its lightness and convenience, intending to use it in the studio and for outdoor yoga. However, it turned out to be too slippery for poses like down dog, making it unsuitable for Vinyasa, power, or hot yoga. Despite its quality construction, I wouldn’t recommend it for those types of yoga due to the slipperiness. It’s better suited for yin, restorative yoga, and Pilates. Overall, I rate it 3/5 stars because while it has its uses, it’s not ideal for certain types of yoga.

A very high-quality mat for vinyasa yoga, muscle strengthening… I haven’t been able to slip on it even when sweating heavily. Minus one star because I think they could have at least included the mat straps in the package…

Invest in a quality yoga mat to avoid toxic and short-lasting ones. The Manduka mat is comparable to the expensive Prana one I had for 14 years. I expect the Manduka mat to last equally long and am pleased with its quality.
