The rug is exactly as advertised. It is slightly larger than a regular yoga mat, which I prefer. The material is sturdy and tightly woven with good seams. After washing it once, the colors did not fade and the weave did not shed fibers. The brown/tan mix is calming. While still a bit stiff, with more use and washings it will soften up like my old one. It provides better stability than a sticky mat with sweaty feet and feels comfortable in various poses. This rug doesn’t offer much cushioning…

The quality of this yoga rug is excellent, especially for standing or inverted asanas. It provides better balance compared to PVC mats. However, it may be too rough for those with sensitive skin, so caution is advised during certain poses like Patangasana or Shishushupalasana.
