I adore this oversized mat for my home workout space. I initially hesitated on the size, but opted for the larger one, and it’s ideal. It’s exactly what I was looking for, and I couldn’t be happier. I’ve always been a fan of this brand for individual mats, and I’m just as pleased with the larger size. I’m definitely happy I didn’t compromise on this purchase as I use it daily. I only wish it was available in Navy, as that’s my preferred color. However, the black looks great, and I’m content….

It’s divine and very functional. I didn’t cure it with salt as the label says, but I cleaned it with a cloth that I washed with dish soap, rinsed well, wiped the mat, and then let it dry. After that, I clean it with a slightly damp cloth after finishing my routine, and after a week, it no longer feels slippery.

Review Update: I’ve owned this mat since 2012, and it’s now 2020. Despite regular use of 150-200 classes per year, it still looks as good as new. It provides excellent grip, especially in unheated rooms, and the density and support are unmatched. I’ve tried other mats but always come back to this one. The description says “black”, but it’s deep red! I’ve been upgrading my yoga mats for a while, starting from 15 euro to 30 euro to 60 euro. As a gift for completing my YTT, I finally treated myself to the Manduka Pro. It’s a real yoga mat – no weird stretching, slipping, or chunks coming off. This mat is the real deal. It’s heavy, with great padding and grip. I love it so much and hope it’s the last yoga mat I’ll ever need to buy.

The only downside that this brand has initially is that the mat needs to be “cured” because it has a layer on top that makes you slip initially. They recommended sprinkling sea salt and rubbing it many times and leaving it in the sun for many hours and so on.
