The toe box is too narrow and there is excessive cushioning. Suitable for those transitioning to barefoot shoes, but not recommended for those already accustomed to barefoot footwear.

    2. Gabriel D.

The guard over the big toe makes slight contact with my toenail constantly. The shoe fit well otherwise, but the constant pressure on my toenails was annoying.

    3. me

I love my new shoes! Perfect for trail running. Super comfy and lightweight with a roomy toe box. I usually wear size 11 but went for 11.5 for extra space. Concerned about durability though due to thin lacing cord and mesh top.

    4. Jordan

I took the Merrell Men’s Trail Glove 7 Sneakers on a road trip across the US and found them to be an excellent choice for hiking. Despite weighing around 230 lbs, these sneakers provided exceptional comfort and support, even on long hikes. They performed well on different terrains, offering stability and grip. The mesh design lets in dust, but they are easy to clean. Overall, the Trail Glove 7s are durable, comfortable, and versatile hiking footwear that I highly recommend.

I have owned several Merrell shoes and these are consistent in terms of quality. The grip pattern is extremely strong, almost to a fault. Initially, walking on carpet felt like wearing Velcro shoes, which caused me to stumble a few times. Be cautious when walking on multi-loop carpet or outside as they pick up debris easily. The soles are comfortable with good arch support, and they are easy to hand wash and dry.

Looks amazing, fits perfectly, and incredibly comfortable. Merrell is truly ahead of the big 3 brands – who would have thought they would be the best!

    7. Toby R S

The latest version is narrower than previous ones, more like a D fit. They also ran long for the size. Had to return them. The sole is great and they look good!

    8. Leonardo

Spacious in the toe area. Perfect for barefoot runners on trails, pavement, or treadmill.

    9. Peter Davis

I have unique feet – size 13.5, flat with wide-set toes and minimal arches. These shoes work wonders for my specific feet. The minimal arch support is perfect for me, unlike larger supports that hurt my flat feet. The wide toe boxes prevent pinching. The Vibram sole provides great protection while still allowing a barefoot feel. They’re comfortable even without socks in hot weather. I learned about Merrell from my dad, who also has flat feet.

    10. VIRGORAT

Merrills has really deteriorated. They used to be durable and fit well. I’m in search of a better brand.

I have been wearing Trailgloves since Version 2. I loved the 4’s, found the 5’s okay, skipped the 6’s, and recently tried the 7’s. I wear size 10.5 in trail gloves and 11 in most other shoes, and the 10.5 fits perfectly. The added toe and heel protection is great, and they are very comfortable overall. I prefer the lacing system over the 5’s, but I am slightly concerned about its long-term durability. However, Merrell has not disappointed me yet. While the 7’s have less arch support, I…

    12. Tim

Pros: The shoes offer incredible traction and support like a mountain goat, with minimal bulk and good ground feel. The heel is not overly rigid and can be worn without a layer. They are breathable and functional when wet, with a thick upper material providing firm support. The sole is very protective against small rocks and roots despite being a zero drop minimalist shoe.

Cons: The shoes are a little snug, especially in the toe box, and could be wider. They can feel abrasive on the top of…

I was drawn to the look and stack height of these shoes, but ultimately found the shape too narrow and the toe area too roomy for my liking. I decided to return them. If you have long feet, these might be a better fit for you.
