Merrell is Merrell, but this model offers more than that – it’s total freedom for my feet, comfort, and secure footing. Thank you.

    2. Kristen

The product offers good quality, a comfortable fit, light and airy design, and provides good support on the sole.

I purchased a size 9.5, but I find that the shoe runs slightly large and wish I had gotten a size 9 instead. They feel very spacious and not narrow. I was pleasantly surprised by the cushiony arch support, which feels more supportive than other barefoot Merrells I’ve owned. Overall, I’m satisfied and will be keeping the size 9.5s.

I have been wearing these minimal style Merrell trail running shoes for some time. This particular model runs narrow, feels stiff, and seems to have more arch support than previous models. I did not like the fit and ended up returning them. However, I recently got a pair of Trail Glove 7 directly from Merrell and they feel much better. The 3, 4, and 5 models were fine for me, but something seems off with the 6.

I had to return these and opted for a different style. I own a pair of the older Trail Gloves, which I adore. I purchased the same size in this newer version, but they were too long. The width was similar, however.

I have Plantar Fasciitis and my feet/heels never bother me when I wear them. Honestly, one of my most comfortable shoes. They do fit on the narrower side which is perfect for me.

I have been wearing these shoes for years, this being my third pair. While they have always been slightly tight around the widest part of my foot initially, these are unbearably uncomfortable and are not breaking in. I am unable to even leave the house in them. Unfortunately, I missed the return window. My feet are not wide and I have never needed to order wide shoes. This is disappointing and a waste of money.

    8. Lori

The model is beautiful and very comfortable. They arrived on time.

    9. Jen

I am disappointed that Merrell changed their Trail Glove shoes. The TG 6 has a much harder footbed and higher arch, definitely not as barefoot feel. But they no longer make the TG 5.

This shoe is not suitable for those seeking a barefoot or minimalist experience. It is extremely stiff, offering zero flexibility and feels like walking with a stone slab strapped to your foot despite cinching up well.

Purchased these as cycling shoes but would also use them for hiking. They are pretty true to size, I typically wear a 6 to 6 1/2 and bought a 7 based on reviews. They do have a bit more toe space but I don’t mind as they are narrow in width. They are a bit difficult to put on – I have to use both thumbs to press the tongue sides against the shoe and a shoe horn for the back. Once on, they feel great! I’ve been wearing them for a few weeks now and still love them. The light arch support and…

I will never buy another shoe. The next level up trail glove (7) is thinner… disappointing! Now I have to search the internet for the Merrel 6 and I’m always afraid they will vanish forever. The Merrel 6 is the perfect shoe. Minimalist, yet durable enough for hiking 20 miles in the Grand Canyon. Size 7 fits true to size. The black color is slightly unattractive, but go for any color you can find at a good price.

Absolutely adore these shoes! Purchased them for a trip to Brazil and no break-in time was needed. Highly recommend to ensure toes don’t touch the edge of the shoe. They provide excellent grip on challenging trails, even in muddy and wet conditions. Incredibly comfortable for hiking and everyday wear. Great for those used to going barefoot. Offers good arch support and breathability. Pair with smart wool socks for added comfort in various conditions.
