The lower band is extremely tight as if it was meant for a different size of shorts. The top band is thick but sits low at the back and high at the front. The feel of the padded section is like a pocket that is filled with shredded grocery bags.

The length is decent, but they may be uncomfortable if you have thicker thighs. They are also itchy along the seams, so it’s best used as a second layer if the fit works for you.

The seams are somewhat irritating and the double-layer design can make it challenging to adjust the fabric. Other similar UA products seem to have addressed this issue. Overall, this product from a usually reliable brand missed the mark.

We purchased these for my husband to wear under his baseball uniform. He mentioned that unless they are meant to fit tightly, he recommends sizing up. The sizing guidelines suggested ordering a Large based on his size and height, but I believe we should have gone for an Extra Large.
