I switched to the Xero shoes from the Merrell Vapor Gloves. I loved the Merrells for their ground feel and comfort, but they wore out quickly. The Xero shoes have a thicker sole and deeper lug, so the ground-feel is not as pronounced, but they are still flexible. The upper has held up well, and I have had no issues with blisters or discomfort. I have been wearing minimalist shoes for years, so I recommend starting slowly if you are new to them.
