It was my first attempt with barefoot shoes, but I returned them. The shoe itself is comfortable but runs small, so ordering a larger size is necessary. I decided to return them instead of ordering the correct size for two reasons: 1- the toe box is not as wide as I expected, although it is wider than a regular shoe. 2- too much fabric on the top of the foot! The material is very flexible but thick, which causes the foot to feel a bit “bulky.” I have to admit they are comfortable.

The fit is perfect. Size 7.5 was just right for me. I wore them for 3 days at a conference and walked miles exploring without any foot pain. I like the reflective strap design. One recommendation is to wear higher socks to avoid rubbing on the back of the ankle which could cause a blister. The round laces stayed tied securely while walking. I hope these shoes last long as I put them through a lot of use.

  3. Yesenia Marks

At first, I considered returning these because they appeared too wide for me. However, I decided to keep them. I’m pleased to say that I’m glad I did! They are so comfortable that I never want to take them off, and I now find them super cute!

I recently started wearing zero-drop shoes and this is my second pair from Xero shoes. The design allows my feet to develop muscles and the wide toe bed provides a natural fit. They are not only functional but also look great. They have helped me manage my bunions and I can wear them comfortably all day. I wear the removable insole for long hikes but take it out for everyday activities. Very impressed with these shoes.

  5. Buyer

Very comfortable, functions as advertised. Had to order a size larger, but they still feel slightly small.

  6. Lizsaskia

    Meets the requirements.

  7. Amazon Customer

I have been wearing Merrill’s Trail Glove for years but they changed the style and fit, so I switched to the Xero shoe. The Xero shoe is comfortable with a zero-drop design, but the material seems less durable. I had to size up to a 12 from my usual 11. The insole texture may bother those without thick socks. After a year of occasional use, the shoes have held up well and are comfortable. However, they squeak loudly on smooth floors, which can be annoying.

  8. Boje

The shoes looked attractive and well made. I usually wear size 8, but these were shorter compared to my Topoathletic and Allbirds by about half a size. I wanted to exchange for 8.5 but got them on a Prime day deal with no option for an exchange at the same price. Disappointed because they were both good-looking and well made.

  9. Living in Vegas

I am a fan of zero drop shoes and understand the key features of this design – minimal support, a feel for the walking surface, and a wide toe box. Criticisms of these aspects miss the point. The Xeros are fantastic for me in my normal size 9.5. They offer ample room for socks, relaxation of my arthritic feet, and walking at my normal gait. The lacing system allows for mid-foot tightening for extra support. Plus, they look cute. I love them and recommend trying them with an open mind.

  10. freckles

I was searching for a flat shoe for weight training and I was pleased to find they had a wide option. The flexible sole and the intertwining laces that cinch tighter on the sides provide great support. These shoes are snug and stable, especially around the ankle, without compressing my toes. They offer better footing for deadliest and squats without compromising form. I plan to get another pair for walking as they help me stand upright. I recommend them for anyone considering minimal shoes….

  11. L. Wilson

I have only used them a couple of times for training at the gym and cycling, and I really like them. Especially without the extra sole, I love that I can clearly feel the footstep as if I were barefoot. It’s not my favorite model of Xero shoes but it is very comfortable.

  12. L. Wilson

Following other reviews’ advice, I ordered these shoes half a size up and they fit perfectly! There’s plenty of toe room and extra reinforcement in the upper part. They are comfortable to walk in, come with a removable insole, and look just like the photos. Quick delivery, good instructions, and packaging. I haven’t run in them yet but my feet and knees feel good wearing them. I have high hopes for when I start running as I have had fallen arches and knee pain. Definitely recommend!
